New Sculpture for the hand!

Completed the plinth today for the latest 'sculpture for the hand'. The imbedded lead allows the balance

and creates an 'off centre' weight to the ergonomic shape and form.

The plinth is set fire to (Japanese wood burning technique - Shou Sugi Ban) which creates the deep charcoal black. Which is then sealed with shellac varnish. The top of the plinth is finished with gold leaf.
